The 8 million centre opens its door this month

On Thursday, 21 January, find out what the new history centre in Hull has to offer and discover a little more about Hull's colourful past.

Take the 'History Centre Bingo' challenge, add your own events to an interactive timeline and find out more about the Hull History Centre.

The brand new, state-of-the-art Hull History Centre opens it's doors to the public on Monday, 25 January.

The Hull History Centre will bring together the material held by the City Archives and Local Studies Library with the University of Hull archives. It's all part of a ground-breaking partnership between Hull City Council and the University of Hull, made possible by a generous grant of £7.7m from the Heritage Lottery Fund - the largest that Hull has ever received.

Come along and join in a whole host of free, family friendly activities, including:

History Centre Bingo - The whole family can explore local history with this open centre trail

Famous faces. Who will you be? Colour in a costume and turn your whole family into famous people from Hull's past.
