The Catholic Herald recently reported that Marilla Ness drew crowds from near and far for her first ever event in Scotland - held in support of the persecuted church.

About 400 fans - some from as far as Somerset - packed into St Francis Xavier church in Carfin, outside Motherwell, for 'An Evening of Prayerful Music'.

Kelita: Canadian singer is working on a new album

"This album is a very raw and emotional collection of songs with me playing piano and singing. Ever since recording my first album in 1982, this is the one. I have been waiting my whole life to record it.

"Old dreams are being resurrected and it's given me a whole new vision for reaching more people and expanding the circles I have been performing in. I am sensing a new and refreshing leg of my career and working hard to make it happen."
