Stargazing event comes to Brough
Solar eclipse
A chance to stargaze with expert advice

Blackburn Leisure Astronomy Society are holding special open nights in Brough.

It will be your chance to view the planets, stars and other celestial attractions with the help of expert astronomers.

The new year has seen a series of astronomical activity, with a solar eclipse, meteor showers and the alignment of Jupiter and Uranus.

The events take place from Friday 14 January to Sunday 16 January.

During the Society's weekend of sky watching events, visitors can also get a chance to observe the Sun courtesy of a new solar filter telescope, which was recently acquired thanks to a £4,850 grant.
