As part of the Scottish Executive initiative to re-introduce young people to the works of Robert Burns, 60 pupils from Gairloch High School and local primary schools will bring the opera to life.

Johnston: Shooting Your Past exhibition

Old Town House, Thurso

See the work of three generations and four photographers from the same local family, spanning more than 100 years from 1863 to 1976. There are 50,000 glass slides and negatives on display.

Reading and Writing in Ross-shire

Dingwall Academy, Dingwall

A literary feast organised by Ross and Cromarty Readers' Groups with authors and poets reading their work and discussing aspects of their writing.

Tea and Tunes

An afternoon of dancing to music by Simon Hacker and the Nava Rasa Quartet. There will be tea and cakes too.

Strathspè Away Homecoming 2009 - Dannsa
