The annual Scarecrow Festival in Bromyard will be in the town from Friday, 11 to Sunday, 13 June 2010.
The theme of this year's event is Fairy Tales, and around 50 scarecrows will depict children's stories.
The event begins on the Friday evening with a parade through the town, starting from St Peter's churchyard at 1930 BST.
It will wind its way along Church St, Market Sq, Broad St, High St and Cruxwell St, ending on the town green.
The parade will be led by Bandamonium, and most of those accompanying their scarecrows will be dressed in costume to compliment their entry, with prizes for the best entourage.
There will also be entertainment and a BBQ on the town green.
On the Saturday and Sunday, between 1100 and 1700 BST, the scarecrows will be in their allotted positions, ready for the competition, which gives the public the opportunity to guess the fairy tale being depicted, using a selection of cryptic clues.
On Saturday only, there will be a mile of pennies in Broad Street and High Street, when local charities will be competing to see who can collect the most money for their cause, and there will also be a craft fair in St Peters Church.
On Saturday evening there will be a Midsummer supper, with entertainment provided by Nonnie James in the Public Hall, starting at 1930 BST.
Throughout the two days, there will be free entertainment in St Peters Churchyard, with stalls and refreshments.
On Tuesday, 15 June, the annual festival quiz is being held, and anyone wishing to enter a team should contact Mike Cresswell on 01885 482825.
This year sees the introduction of the Cinderella Ball, which is being held at the Falcon Hotel on Saturday, 19 June, and will be black tie or Fairy Tale fancy dress.
Tickets are £25, which will include a wine and canapé reception on arrival, a two course buffet supper and dancing to The Revivals Band; there will also be surprises during the evening.
