Martial arts for charity
Three local martial artists are holding a special event in Worcester, in aid of children's charities. There will be demonstrations and classes involving experts from a range of martial arts. It is taking place at Nunnery Wood Sports Complex, on Saturday 14 November, from 1200 - 1800 GMT.
Contemporary craft
The Hereford Contemporary Craft Fayre take place from Friday 13 until Sunday 15 December, at The Courtyard in Hereford. There are 58 makers of contemporary craft involved, producing everything from ceramics, glass and jewellery to furniture, metal work and fashion accessories. A taste of Scotland
Three scottish tenors, who've sung everywhere from Hampden Park to the Sydney Opera House are bringing their own brand of Caledonian culture to Number 8 Community Arts Centre in Pershore, on Saturday 14 November. Collectively they are known as Caledon, and their repertoire includes such classic songs as Sailing, Auld Lang Syne, Loch Lomond and Mull of Kintyre. All this with a twirl of the kilt thrown in.
Strictly Morris Dancing
The politics-laden, ultra-competitive side and cut-throat world of morris dancing comes to the big screen at The Playhouse Cinema based at the Community Centre in School Road, Leominster, on Saturday 14 November. With an all star cast the film 'Morris; A Life With Bell On' shows how the English folk dance is not just an innocent pub pastime involving hanky-waving and bearded men with staffs. The films is being screened by Flick in the Sticks.
A servant's life at Christmas
A special event at Berrington Hall, near Leominster in Herefordshire, on Sunday 15 November, shows how servants at a stately home would have prepared food for Christmas. Berrington Hall is an 18th century house which was designed by Henry Holland, with grounds by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.
