The event in Worcester is part of a world-wide fundraising day

Three local martial artists are holding a special event in Worcester, in aid of children's charities.

It is taking place at Nunnery Wood Sports Complex, on Saturday 14 November, from 1200 - 1800 GMT.

There will be demonstrations and classes involving experts from a range of martial arts.

Tickets are £25 on the door and money raised will go to three charities, including Acorns Children's Hospice.

The event is part of a world-wide fundraising day, involving martial artists, called Fighting For Lives.

The experts involved in the Worcester event include:

  • Grand Master Paul Bowman - Kyusho Jitsu
  • Master Keith Gray - Krusader Martial Arts
  • Sensei Alun Williams - Total Body Defence
  • Sensei Nigel Lee - Okko Karate Jutsu
  • Sensei Dave Webster - Dragon Tree Martial Arts
  • Sensei Carl Grant - Total Grant
  • Sifu Rob Trowe - Kung Fu
  • Ustaad Harjinder Singh - Gatka
  • Sifu Rob Ho - Reality Based Fighting System
  • Richie Price - Pro-Wrestling Crew

The organisers say they hope the event will be an enjoyable, inspiring day, giving all open-minded martial artists the opportunity to try something different, as well as giving newcomers to martial arts a chance to try different styles.
