Wincey also lectures in media and wildlife conservation
The former TV-am weather girl, Wincey Willis, is to present The Big Day Out on BBC Hereford & Worcester.
Each Saturday morning, from 0900-1100, Wincey will have ideas for days out in Herefordshire and Worcestershire.
Wincey said: "I'm really excited because there are so many fantastic things happening in our area,
"I'm looking forward to hearing from listeners about their favourite places and where they would recommend to others."
The show is all about places to go, people to see and things to do.
Wincey became the first national ITV weathergirl in May 1983, and she went on to being an adjudicator with Kenneth Kendall on the Channel 4 programme Treasure Hunt.
Her TV career gave Wincey many opportunities, such as flying in the cockpit of Concorde, and today Wincey is still very good friends with BBC Midlands Today presenter Nick Owen, from the days when they worked together on Good Morning Britain.
Wincey lives in Herefordshire and is an Ambassador for the county.
One thing you perhaps didn't know about Wincey is that she's an advanced scuba diver.
