General Weather Situation

Low pressure staying near to Britain over the coming days. The weather turning milder again from off the Atlantic through the Weekend. Windy with some rain or showers at times. Short lived drier brighter intervals between.

Friday 4 December

Frosty start with some pockets of mist and fog. Fine morning with sunshine, cloud and wind increasing through the day with rain into the west by 4pm and eastern parts by eventide. A gusty south-westerly breeze of 35 mph backing into the south-east. Wind and rain in places overnight. Rainfall 4-8 mm.

Maximum temperature 7-8c 45-46f.
Minimum temperature 7-9c 45-48f.

Saturday 5 December

Rain giving way to sunny intervals and a few blustery showers. Winds south to south-westerly gusting between 30 and 48 mph. Clear spells and a few showers through eventide, more wind and rain overnight. The gusty breeze prevailing. Rainfall 3-6 mm. Hill fog in the overnight rain.

Maximum temperature 9-11c 48-52f.
Minimum temperature 6-7c 43-45f.

Sunday 6 December

Milder than average with rain or showers at times. Winds south-westerly gusting between 35 and 48 mph. Rainfall 5-10 mm with low cloud shrouding the hills and high level routes in any precipitation.

Maximum temperature 9-11c 48-52f.
Minimum temperature 5-6c 41-43f.
