The Friday Session Introducing... features a live session from the Bewdley singer/songwriter Carrie Hayden.

There's also a celebration of 75 years of the BBC's Maida Vale studios, featuring some of the local artists who've played there.

There's a look at the future of the Big Chill festival, after the company that ran the event went into liquidation.

All in the Friday Session Introducing, from 1800 GMT, 30 October 2009.

The Bewdley singer/songwriter, who was born in 1985, first turned to music at the age of 14.

After studying music at college, Carrie was chosen to attend Paul McCartney's fame school.

She released her debut album at this year's Bewdley Carnival and has since been running regular music nights in the North West.

Big Chill saved

The future of Herefordshire's Big Chill Festival has been secured in the county for the next four years.

Its future was in doubt after the firm which organised it, Chill Fest Limited, went into voluntary liquidation.

But its now in secure hands - the new owners, Festival Republic, also run Glastonbury and the Reading and Leeds Festivals.

Gold Dust

A Herefordshire singer/songwriter has been featured on Later with Jools Holland, performing live on BBC 2.

Ellie Goulding has recently signed to Polydor Records and has been working in New York city with top music producer Mark Ronson.

She's been tipped as the 'next big thing' by NME and has appeared in the Guardian and FHM.

Robert Plant

Worcestershire's Robert Plant has picked up the Outstanding Contribution title at this year's Q Awards.

Plant is most famous for his work with Led Zeppelin and more recently with Alison Krauss.

Maida Vale Anniversary

We celebrate BBC Maida Vale's 75th anniversary with some of our local stars who've played there.

Local artists such as Led Zeppelin and Underworld performed there for John Peel, and, more recently, Sam Isaac, The Anomalies, Luke Leighfield, Pencil Toes & Muchuu.

We'll hear those exclusive session tracks - and hear from Muchuu who've been chosen as The Guardian newspaper's New Band Of The Day.

We'll bring you the full list of what's happening in Herefordshire and Worcestershire at 1940 GMT.
