Set in India in the early 1940s, Kahani Sapnon Ki (Our Dream Story) tells the inspiring story of three young people determined to follow their dreams. Parvati wants to become a respected story teller, Pavan yearns to be a pilot and Pushpa seems born to be a dancer. The play follows their exhilarating journey at a time of upheaval in world and Indian history - reality strikes when World War II breaks out in Asia, Singapore falls and the Japanese threaten eastern India. Learn how to identify fungi on this field trip on the Beaulieu Estate in the New Forest. There will also be a display of collected and named specimens. Plus, a look at the importance of fungi in the natural world. The course is run by Phil Budd, chairman of the Southampton Natural History Society and a fungi expert. in Southsea is offering free admission to encourage the public to remember those who died during the liberation of Europe during World War II - and particularly those lost on D-Day itself, 6 June 1944.

Sandown Carnival
They will be carnival spirit on the streets of Sandown

Sandown Carnival & Celebrations includes a magical parade featuring, lanterns, costumes, floats and bands parading through the town's streets, all lit with thousands of colourful lights. Entertainment starts at 1800 when local band 14 Inch Remotes play on the Esplanade. The parade assembles at Grafton St, and moves off at 1830 accompanied by samba music. Also, catch the Fire Show on the beach opposite The Carlton Hotel with Ryde Extreme Performers. The parade finishes at the pier with music and food and culminates in a spectacular firework finale from the pier at 2000.
