Robin moves in to St Mary's Church, Portchester Castle

A robin has taken up residence in St Mary's Church at Portchester Castle.

Since the cold weather in December 2010, the bird has been living in the 12th Century church near Portsmouth Harbour.

Vicar, Rev Charlie Allen said the red-breasted visitor had attracted a lot of interest since its arrival.

"The congregation have loved it. It's become a mascot to the church.

"It certainly loves Sunday services when there is a packed church," she said.
