Ex-Vestas worker visits Colorado

Penny Draper, a former worker at the Vestas wind turbine factory on the Isle of Wight, visits Windsor, Colorado in the USA where the company's new factory is in operation - part of a $1 billion investment in the state.

Penny, along with more than 500 other employees, was laid off in 2009 when the Vestas plants in Newport and Southampton closed.

As part of a BBC Radio Solent documentary - Redundant South - Penny explored the issues around the closure of the factory and the global pressures shaping the 'green economy'.

Visiting the American plant was an emotional experience as she found a lot of similarities to the old Newport factory.
