The Kings Theatre in Southsea was packed for a special night of chat, comedy and music in aid of BBC Children in Need, hosted by BBC South Today presenter Sally Taylor.

Among the guests were harmony trio Fascinating Aida, opera stars Claire Rutter and Stephen Gadd and Charles Collingwood and Judy Bennett from the Archers.

Film critic Mark Kermode brought his skiffle band, the Dodge Brothers, acclaimed singer songwriter Jon Allen took to the stage, as did the Silver Beatles and there was a not-to-be-missed dance performance from the 'BBC South Allstars'.
