Anna King

Anna's made her home in Gloucestershire with her husband and daughter...but she started her life in a land far far away. Well, Wiltshire anyway.

"I was born in a place called Winterslow, known worldwide as the most spread out village in England!

"My second hand bike and I spent many a long sunny day in transit between the Vivo shop and the school rec.

"After leaving South Wilts Grammar school in Salisbury, I went to Bristol Poly and did three days serving at the local fish shop before realising that was never going to clear those student debts."

Life since then has seen Anna broadcasting across the West and she's been a firm favourite on BBC Radio Gloucestershire for years.

Her love of the county shines through each and every day.

"My favourite place is Saul Junction. Just you, the narrow boats and the ducks."

Anna loves people watching...and telling us about what she has seen.

"I love the cinema but one night there was a couple bickering in the row infront. Unbelievable!

"On another evening the blokes in front set the seats alight - that certainly made "The Towering inferno" take on a three dimensional quality!"

Anna's past does occasionally catch up. She has revealed the first album she ever bought was "The Best of the Goodies"!
