Engineering firm Renishaw announces record results

In 2009 the engineering company Renishaw, based at Wotton-under-Edge, was in dire financial trouble and had to sack staff.

But now the company has announced its best ever results. The firm is valued at more than £1bn and shares are at a record high.

Success in China is the main reason.
