Genesis tribute heading to Stroud

G2 Definitive Genesis
G2 recreate the musical splendour of a 1970s Genesis gig

With a reputation for being 'the UK's premiere tribute' to the classic era prog-rockers Genesis, G2 deliver the sights and sounds of a full-on 1970s Genesis gig as accurately as possible.

As well as the musicianship they recreate all the lighting and stage effects to ensure they capture the visual atmospherics of a Genesis show.

What's not to like if you're a prog rock fan?

Now you can witness the show right here in Gloucestershire as G2 Definitive Genesis perform the Classic "Seconds Out" period in Genesis's long and colourful history, the four man era - 1975/78, at Stroud's Subscription Rooms.

As well as the music G2 also recreate the lighting and stage effects

It's the mid / late 70s, Peter Gabriel had recently departed to be replaced by their own relatively unknown "singing" drummer Phil Collins.

Rather than being doomed to failure, the four-man era of Hackett, Banks, Rutherford & Collins lifted the band's fame to even greater heights with the studio albums Trick Of The Tail and Wind & Wuthering.

Successive world tours culminating in three sold out nights at London's Earls Court and the release of the acclaimed double live album Seconds Out put Genesis into the supergroup category.

Dance On A Volcano, Ripples, Entangled, Los Endos, Blood On The Rooftops, One For The Vine, Afterglow, mixed up with the classics of the Gabriel years, Firth Of Fifth, Cinema Show, I Know What I Like & the infamous Suppers Ready, this is Vintage Genesis and performed by G2 to a level Genesis themselves would be proud of!
