Sadie likes to have a good gossip and enjoys a giggle at every opportunity

Join Sadie between noon and 2pm for a topical look at life in Essex and what is making the news elsewhere. Each weekday lunchtime Sadie will be taking your calls, texts and e-mails about the top stories affecting Essex, the country and the world. All this will be combined with great music, news, sport and weather, plus interviews with the movers and shakers behind the headlines. You can call Sadie on 01245 495050 or text her on 07786 201035. Sadie's big questions: What was your first radio memory? My Mum listening to 'Housewife's Choice' and 'Sing Something Simple' on Sunday afternoons - which always made me feel slightly sick inside, as I knew bath bed and school loomed! My first listening choice was Robbie Vincent on Radio London. I have loved speech radio from that moment on. How did you first get into radio? I got into radio by phoning in!! I got through to the head of a major London radio station (LBC) and went mad complaining about the theatre reviewer. He laughed, invited me to lunch and asked me to take over! So I reviewed theatre for Simon Bates for three years before getting my own show! What is your favourite song ever? Ooooh far too tough!! It depends on the mood I am in. Sometimes it's 'The Living Years' or 'Who Wants To Live Forever?', sometimes 'Blame it on the Boogie' (actions imperative!!) but to get me going it's Tony Moore's 'Shake Your Tree' - check him out on the net - it's amazing!! What one thing makes Essex so special? Its coastline. I LOVE the sea and we are blessed in Essex with some of the best coastline in the world!!
