|
Colchester's teenagers will get the opportunity to explore their creative sides when the BBC Blast Tour rolls into town during November. A number of free workshops will be held at Charter Hall from Thursday, 19 to Saturday, 21 November. Young people aged 13 to 19 will receive advice from a number of industry experts and produce their own work using state-of-the-art equipment. Some of the work produced will feature at a special 'Blast Talent Showcase'. Workshops taking place over the three days include hip-hop production, fashion photography, poetry master classes and online TV production. A selection of the subsequent work created over the three days will be shown to the public at 4.30pm on Saturday afternoon. The Colchester leg is the 30th and final stop for the tour in 2009, which is part of the
BBC Blast
scheme designed for young people looking to persue a career in creative arts. "The BBC Blast Tour is a real unique opportunity for young people from the local area to get some real hands-on experience and get training from industry experts, and it's absolutely free," said BBC Blast Editor, Sian Lord.
