Resort initiative to cut homeless

Residents in north Essex with spare rooms are being asked to offer the space to a homeless young person.

Tendring District Council believes 16 and 17-year-olds make-up 10% of the area's homeless population.

Life for Paul Chatterton, 17, can be pretty bleak after he ended up in a B&B after falling out with his mother.

"When you're in a B&B you're on your own and you feel segregated from everyone else it's not nice for someone of 16, 17 or 18," said Paul.
