The Scottish Coastal Rowing Project is promoting the revival of St Ayles skiffs among rowers.
Based on the Fair Isle skiff, the boats are made from plywood and take several months to build.
Rowing teams from Achiltibuie, Ullapool, Port Seton, Portobello, North Berwick and Anstruther took part in Anstruther Regatta on 29 May this year.
Landward's Sarah Mack went along to find out more about the communities coming together to build and row these boats.
