These are hectic times for Devon singer-songwriter Seth Lakeman.

Seth, who lives on the edge of Dartmoor at Yelverton, releases his next single, Stepping Over You, on 24 October 2010.

And he is about to embark on an autumn tour to promote the track, which is taken from his recently released album, Hearts and Minds.

"It's been a good summer," Seth told BBC Radio Devon's John Govier. "Hearts and Minds came out in July and it's been going very well ever since."

The CD is the third album Seth has recorded for EMI, after releasing CDs on his own independent label earlier in his career.

He says signing for a major record label has given him a much higher profile nationally: "It's something I felt I had to do and the opportunities I've had since working with them (EMI) have been really exciting."
