Katherine told Ed she preferred being interviewed in person
BBC Radio Derby's Ed George has spoken to Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins on the phone on more than one occasion.
But he was in for a treat this time around when the stunning songstress dropped by his studio for a face-to-face interview.
The 29-year-old singer is busy promoting her new album Believe.
And she told Ed her life has been as busy as ever with star-studded performances in Los Angeles and a memorable trip to Italy.
The new album is descibred as having a more 'cross-over' sound and a highlight is Katherine's cover of the number one Evanescence single Bring Me To Life.
She explained: "I was in the studio making the album with David Foster. We were brainstorming songs and I suggested doing that one.
"He said to me 'oh I don't think you can do that one' - and it was like a red rag to a bull!
"So we decided to take it away from the guitar-led, percussive original and instead make it more orchestral with the percussion coming from the strings.
"It's a very fun song. Very dramatic and it gets operatic at the end."
