Max Fischer and sous chef James Burgess celebrate their double win
Restaurateur Max Fischer was a double winner at the eighth annual Derbyshire Food and Drink Awards.
The owner of Fischer's at Baslow Hall took the best restaurant title at a ceremony held at Thornbridge Hall in Ashford in the Water.
And he doubled his medal haul after being named as the Local Food Hero of the year for the restaurant's use of locally-sourced ingredients.
Celebrity chef Brian Turner was a special guest at the awards ceremony.
Max Fischer told BBC Radio Derby's Aleena Naylor: "It's been fantastic. I didn't know anything about the local hero award but with restaurant of the year I'm quite cocky really because I do think we are the very finest restaurant in Derbyshire.
"We have a very enthusiastic team here who all love food. There's a real buzzing atmosphere around the place and these awards will only make that even better."
Also honoured were The Devonshire Arms at Beeley which won pub/bistro of the year and Le Mistral in Wirksworth which won International Restaurant of the year.
The awards give extra credit for restaurants and chefs which prioritise locally-sourced ingredients for their meals.
