Guy Fawkes Night, or Bonfire Night, is upon us - which means it's time to put on your wellies, dig out your mittens, wrap up in as many layers as you can find and head to your local, organised display. Midland Railway, Butterley Fireworks: The display is at Swanwick Junction, with trains running to and from Butterley Station to the display area between 17.30 and 19.15. The display will be set to music. Admission costs: Adult £9, children free. The museum , Stationary Power display, shops and Buffets will be open as will the Demonstration Signal Box and Victorian Railwaymans Church. The narrow gauge Golden Valley Light Railway will be taking visitors on a ride through the 'spooky' Country Park (extra charge).
Sunday 8 November
Mickleover Sports Club Station Road, Mickleover Fun Fair starts at 16.15 with Firework Extravaganza at 19.15. Entry is £5 (admits 1 adult and 1 child )
