The Queen visits Derby Cathedral and the Royal Derby
The Queen
Her Majesty arrived at Derby Cathedral a few minutes after 1100

It was smiles all round as the sun shone brightly for Her Majesty The Queen's visit to Derby.

The Duke of Edinburgh Prince Phillip joined his wife for a two-stop trip to our city.

The royal pair attended the annual Maundy Money service at Derby Cathedral before heading to the Royal Derby Hospital for its official opening.

Hundreds of patriotic Derby people turned out for a glimpse of Her Majesty - and they weren't disappointed.
