No Place Like Home in Wirksworth's Old Lock-Up

The say home is where the heart is - though it might also be where the thieves, murderers and other villains once spent the night.

BBC East Midlands Today has been visiting some of the area's most quirky homes - and on this occasion they asked BBC Radio Derby's Ed George to experience Wirksworth's Old Lock-Up.

It was formerly a 19th-century magistrates' house-turned-police station, complete with cells.

These day's it's a cosy guest house run by Vivian and Tony Wheeler.

Each room has its own history and its own stories to tell; one was the magistrate's room, others include the solicitor's room, the coachman's room and the hayloft.
