Cumbria cancer cases detected
Eight women who had been given the all-clear in Cumbria are having to be treated for breast cancer.
Others who thought they had nothing to worry about, will have to wait for the results of new tests.
They were among about 1600 women who received breast screening at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
130 of them were recalled when a major review of the service was launched. So far, 49 have been checked.
Eight of them have been told they need treatment for breast cancer, while a ninth has been told she has non-invasive pre-cancer. 81 women have yet to find out whether they're clear or not.
