This weekend a man from Milnthorpe near Kendal will be named British Skydiver of the Year.
Just calling it parachuting barely begins to describe what Alistair Hodgson and his wife Pixie do. Think of a ten-thousand foot high-dive doing acrobatics all the way.
They are British champions and are aiming for the world title this year.
But Alastair's award recognises far more than that.

Competing
Alistair lost his legs 17 years ago to an IRA landmine when he was a paratrooper in Northern Ireland.
Alistair's success in skydiving has been by competing on an equal basis with the able-bodied.
He is also a Patron of Preston Disability Information Services Centre, now known as Disability Equality North West.
