It Bites re-record Calling all the Heroes for charity

It Bites first formed in 1982 in the west of Cumbria

Cumbrian band It Bites are re-recording one of their songs to help raise money for flood relief in Cumbria

They are bringing together members of the rock and pop world to record their classic hit Calling all the Heroes.

The recording will take place in Milton Keynes on Friday, 4 December, with the work released soon after as a download by EMI.

Original It Bites members Francis Dunnery and Dick Nolan are now set to take part too.

The recording will feature It Bites, along with many national and local musicians and singers.


Those featuring on the EP include John Wetton and Geoff Downes (from Asia, Yes, Roxy Music, Buggles and King Crimson), Marillion, Howard Jones, Jem Godfrey and Mark Baker (from Carlisle's Burn The Negative).

It is to be recorded at John Wetton and Geoff Downes' studio, with the video produced by Russell Cherrington who has produced videos for Japan, Peter Gabriel and Queensryque.
