A temporary bridge crossing the West Coast main line railway has been put into place at Kingmoor near Carlisle as part of the £176m Carlisle Northern Development Route.
The bridge raising took place over a number of weekends in September and October to minimise disruption.
It will open to traffic in late November / early December at which point the existing bridge will be closed, ready for its demolition later this year.
