Getting to the centre of 2-Tone in Coventry
The Specials
Roddy, Horace and John from The Specials will be at the fundraiser

On Saturday, 22 May, an all-star event is to be held in Coventry to raise funds for 2-Tone Central.

The concert will include performances by the likes of Roddy Radiation & The Skabilly Rebels, a live DJ set from The Enemy, The Allskas and Pint Shot Riot.

2-Tone Central will be a museum, cafe and venue for events, such as signings and live performances, in the centre of Coventry.

It will not just be a base for 2-Tone, but for other music from the city.

Pete Chambers, the Coventry music historian and author who is behind the project, said: "2-Tone is Coventry's multi-cultural baby... It's what we are famous for, and we must give visitors and locals alike at least one place in the city that tells the story of our most famous musical export."

The fundraising concert, which is to be held at Venue 54 on Cox Street in Coventry, will also feature performances and appearances from John 'Brad' Bradbury and Horace Panter of The Specials, Neol Davies, Aitch Bembridge, Just Morale and other local bands. There will also be an auction and much more.

Tickets are priced at £10 and are available from the official 2-Tone Central website:
