Here are a few suggestions to help you make the most of Coventry & Warwickshire in 2011.

The Specials
Roddy Radiation was in the original line up of The Specials

Coventry's most celebrated music will be live again at 2-Tone Central in Coventry University Students' Union. Roddy Radiation's Skabilly Rebels are playing on 26 March, followed by The English Beat, with guests Rhoda Dakar, Roddy Radiation and Jennie Bellestar Mathias on 30 April.

• Until 30 June 2-Tone Central is also hosting a free exhibition. Out To Lanch-A Sound Education looks at the musical past of The Lanchchester Polytechnic.

• Until 15 May Particle Article explores fairytales with tiny sculptures. This exhibition by Clare Benson and Amy Nightingale is on at Nuneaton Art Gallery & Museum .

Nature & Outdoors
  • On Sunday, 6 March Brandon Marsh Nature Centre is holding a Family Den Building session from 1430-1600 for children over 5 and keen adults. See the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust website for more details.

Secret Egypt exhibition
At the climax of the exhibition visitors are invited to explore a recreated tomb

Until Sunday, 5 June, travel back to ancient Egypt at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum.

Their new temporary exhibition, Secret Egypt, will delve into some of the popular myths from this era, bringing together over 200 objects from Egyptian collections.

There will also be a series of events that run alongside Secret Egypt, such as talks and family activities.
