Coventry & Warwickshire

Throughout 2010, BBC Coventry & Warwickshire collected stories and memories from those who lived through that life-changing night of Thursday, 14 November 1940, otherwise known as the Coventry Blitz.
We recorded the stories and pieced them together to make 70 stories for 70 years for our Beyond the Blitz series. They have been broadcast on BBC Coventry & Warwickshire and you can also find them on the map below. This special interactive map gives the location of each story, along with photographs, a piece of text about the person and in most cases, you can actually listen to the story. Each individual memory of the Coventry Blitz has been saved and has been given to the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum for their archive.
