Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see sets and models from the Aardman and Dreamworks' film, but also learn more about the animation industry
Animated Adventures featuring Wallace & Gromit is at Coventry's Herbert Art Gallery & Museum until January 2010. The exhibition showcases many of the models and sets from the film Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. Visitors can see how Aardman and other animators create their characters and bring them to life on screen. To coincide, there will also be a chance to see films by local animators in Gallery 3 as part of a feature called the Animation Showreel. Visitors to the Animated Adventures exhibition will be able to try their hands at animating and see the work that goes into creating storyboards, cell painting and the technology used when producing the films. Rosie Addenbrooke, senior exhibitions and events officer said: "This exhibition is a wonderful addition to the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum. The original sets from Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were Rabbit show a fascinating insight into the magic of Wallace and Gromit and the world of animation." There will be a variety of activities and animation screenings to go alongside the exhibition throughout November and December.
