The literature festival is held in the historic grounds of Port Eliot

It's a literature lovers delight.

The Port Eliot Literature Festival brings together the cream of writers, poets and performers for a weekend of education and entertainment in the historic surroundings of Port Eliot in St Germans, Saltash.

Jarvis Cocker, Harper Simon and Ed Harcourt are among the musicians bringing their songs to the grounds of Port Eliot.

The world of authors and fashion are also represented at the festival.

Tom Vowler is one of the authors appearing at Port Eliot. His short story collection, The Method & Other Stories, is a Scott Prize winner being published by Salt this year.

In 2009 he received an Arts Council grant to research and write a novel set on Dartmoor. He'll be reading and talking about the writing process.

The fashion world features heavily throughout the festival. Luella Bartley has made great impact on fashion since her 2000 debut show Daddy, who were The Clash?

Her designs are worn by Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Pixie Geldof, Kate Bosworth, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sienna Miller and Keira Knightly amongst others.

Sons of singing legends are represented at this year's festival, and they're already making their own mark on the music world.

Former lead singer and Grammy-winning songwriter with The Wallflowers, Jakob Dylan (son of Bob) will be at Port Eliot as will Harper Simon, son of Paul.

Food, drink and flowers all have their special place at the festival too.

Port Eliot is the historic seat of the Earl and Countess of St Germans.

The family have lived at Port Eliot for hundreds of years, and have accumulated a magnificent collection of exquisite furniture and paintings. The House is still very much a family home.
