Wyman and friends roll into Truro
Bill Wyman
Bill Wyman has been with The Rhythm Kings since the mid '90s

The legendary former Rolling Stone, Bill Wyman is making a welcome return to Cornwall with his all star Rhythm Kings.

The group also features world renowned musicians Albert Lee and Georgie Fame, both big hitmakers in their own right.

The band tours and records simply for the love of music. They breathe new life into classic Rhythm and Blues songs.

Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings play the Hall for Cornwall on Saturday 7 November.

For 30 years Bill Wyman toured the world, playing to the massive crowds in the biggest stadiums as a member of the Rolling Stones. Still touring, Wyman now prefers the more intimate venues to perform his beloved R&B. The Rhythm Kings are virtuoso musicians who perform the kind of songs that first inspired Wyman to pick up the guitar as a teenager.

Wyman says: "I wasn't interested in playing 'commercial' music, so I decided to try to get back into early traditional roots.

"The whole idea behind the band was to play music that we love and I think you can hear and feel that on our records. Playing live, doing gigs, means everybody in the band does it for the same reasons as I do; to have a good time and send the crowd home with smiles on their faces."

The group's latest tour is to promote The Best of Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings. The album includes 21 tracks like 'Green River' and 'Tell You A Secret'.
