Autumn's finest Cornish produce will be on display and no doubt eaten in abundance at the November Taste South East Cornwall festival.

The food extravaganza is centered around the picturesque fishing ports of Looe and Polperro.

The towns' reputations for local food is well respected in and outside Cornwall.

There will be free samples of Cornish produce during the festival which starts on Saturday 7 November.

The organisers of Taste South East Cornwall aim to prove the surrounding area is a destination for discerning food lovers, by showcasing the quality of its restaurants, food producers, suppliers and accommodation providers.

Events are held throughout the year, with two festivals including the Autumn Taste which runs until Saturday 21 November.

Guest chef nights, Barista training for coffee lovers, chef demos and a Foodie Mystery Tour are some of the events on offer.

Fish is likely to feature heavily as the ports are still very active with fishing families stretching back several generations bringing in the fish several times a week.
