After a series of concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and Trafalgar Square Seth Lakeman returns for a Cornish gig in November.

His music has progressed in the last couple of years, remaining firmly rooted in folk, yet moving to a rockier, fuller sound.

Seth will be performing his latest material, along with fan favourites at the Princess Pavilion on Sunday 8 November.

Seth is a former Mercury nominee.

Seth Bernard Lakeman was born 26 March 1977 and brought up in the village of Buckland Monachorum, near Yelverton, Devon. He began playing music with his parents and two brothers Sean and Sam at an early age.

As The Lakeman Brothers, the three brothers released their critically acclaimed debut album Three Piece Suite in 1994. Later that same year they were invited by two Yorkshire based singers Kathryn Roberts and Kate Rusby to join them as a backing group on a tour of Portugal.

After the tour the five musicians became a permanent group and called themselves Equation.

Fast forward to 2002 and Seth released his first solo album called The Punchbowl. Seth's second album, Kitty Jay, cost just under £300 to produce. It was for this album Seth received his Mercury nomination.

Tours with The Levellers, Jools Holland, and Billy Bragg brought Seth's music to the masses in huge venues.

Now Seth returns to his roots with an intimate gig in front of local fans at Falmouth's Princess Pavilion.
