Newquay Tretherras broadcast its very own television news bulletin
BBC School Report took place at schools across Cornwall once again.
Several Cornish schools took part this year including Newquay Tretherras and Roseland Community College.
Schools partaking will learn how to produce either a radio news bulletin, local website news, or a television broadcast, in just one day.
BBC Spotlight's Natalie Cornah, and BBC Cornwall's Naomi Kennedy and Matt Shepherd were among those offering news tips on the day.
Newquay Tretherras School have been working towards their big news day for a few weeks. Once the big day had arrived they still had plenty to do. Scripts needed to be written, final editing was carried out, and rehearsals using the auto cue took place.
Soon after lunch the hardworking team, along with their English teacher Miss Newnham, were ready to start filming their television news programme.
Final words of advice came from a former pupil of the school. BBC Spotlight's Natalie Cornah praised the youngsters for all their hard work.
The BBC project received a big thumb's up from the young journalists.
Rosie says: I though the deadlines made it challenging but overall the final bulletin went really well."
Lauren says: "It was a challenge having only a couple of minutes to edit a tonne of audio. I enjoyed all of it, especially being interviewed on the BBC."

BBC News School Report gives 11-14 year-old students in the UK the chance to make their own news reports for a real audience.
Using lesson plans and materials from this website, and with support from BBC staff, teachers help students develop their journalistic skills to become School Reporters.
BBC News presenter and former teacher, Huw Edwards, is working on School Report.
Youngsters from Poltair School took part in the first School Report Day
He said: "Over the years I've run many journalism workshops in schools. So I've seen how much fun it can be and how much can be learnt when there are real deadlines, real audiences and real standards to meet.
"I'm involved because I want to give young people the chance to make the news themselves, and I want to share the principles of good journalism.
"So have a go, let me know what you think, and good luck!"
