Understanding climate change

The Met Office and Exeter University are to form a world class academic partnership to tackle the problems of climate change.

Along with two other British Universities they'll try to understand the impact of extreme weather.

The new partnership will bring together more than one thousand scientists in total - and many of them are from the South West.

Our Environment Correspondent Adrian Campbell's been speaking to Professor David Stephenson from the University of Exeter.
