Back in time with Mount Edgcumbe

Mount Edgcumbe Costume film

Cornwall's Mount Edgcumbe House is offering people the chance to go back in time.

Fancy your self as a Tudor prince or princess? Well now you have the chance to try out the role for size.

The historic Cornish house has commissioned a set of costumes for the public to try on.

The dresses and suits are all designed in the same style that the original owner would have worn.

Mount Edgcumbe House itself has a rich history. It is the former home of the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe.

It is set in Grade I Cornish Gardens within 865 acres Country Park on the Rame Peninsula in South East Cornwall.

Mount Edgcumbe House was first built in the 1500s and was restored after World War Two.

The house is now beautifully restored to the 18th century style, in keeping with the furniture and family treasures it holds, all of which have family connections.

It is jointly owned by Cornwall Council and Plymouth City Council and is one of the regions most popular historic tourist destinations.
