Remembrance services and events in Cambridgeshire will commemorate the men and women who have died in conflict. Remembrance Day is Wednesday 11 November. It's a chance to remember those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, with poppy wreaths laid at war memorials and a two-minute silence. IWM Duxford is also holding a special service with free admission to all.

Veterans' Day at Cambridge American Cemetery A Veterans' Day Remembrance Ceremony is scheduled for 11am on 11 November to honour the Americans buried at Madingley who died in World War II. The ceremony will feature members of the U.S. military and the Royal Air Force. Telephone 01954 210350 for more information. Music for Remembrance Day Musicians from Hills Road Sixth Form College will perform a selection of sacred vocal music and readings, focusing on the theme of Remembrance, on Wednesday 11 November. The concert is part of Cambridge Music Festival's 'Food for Thought' series and takes place at 1pm at Our Lady and the English Martyrs Church on Hills Road. Poppy Dinner and Dance in Chatteris The Chatteris Royal British Legion branch is holding a dinner and dance on Friday 13 November at the Working Men's Club, Station Street, Chatteris, 7pm for 7.30pm. Music is from the Kingswingers and tickets are £20 with all profits going to the Poppy Appeal.
