Volunteers needed for wood tidy

You could make a Christmas wreat

Volunteers are being sought for several events at Ridge Wood near Yate which include helping clean up the area.

Residents are being asked to have a "blitz" on litter on Sunday, 22 November 2009 following several recent activities at the wood.

Anybody who can help tidy is asked to meet at the Jubilee Gardens entrance from 10am.

A week later, residents are being invited to make festive decorations from willow and hedgerow materials.

You could create your own Christmas wreath to give your home a natural look over the festive period.

The workshops will be run by Jo Wright from Organic Blooms and run at 10am and 1.30pm.

Mince pies and hot drinks will be available on the day at the woods.
