Jason's ambition is to do a lap of Top Gear's test track
Jason these days enjoys a lie-in before the Afternoon Show on BBC Bristol and Somerset as he spent 20 years as a breakfast show presenter.
He won a DJ contest in 1988 so Jason always says he doesn't have a job - he's still using up a competition prize.
The list of Jason's guests down the years are a "Who's Who" of the showbiz world: he's interviewed Elton John, Cliff Richard , Ian Botham , Robbie Williams and Tom Jones to name but a few.
His early mornings have seen him flying in planes and helicopters, as well as being placed in a magician's guillotine and having his bottom pinched by one of the Spice Girls live on stage, which was nearly a scary as being licked by a giraffe whilst broadcasting live.
Jason's life is bit more sedate these days but he still has big showbiz stars stopping off for a chat. People like Des O'Connor, Paul Anka and Julian Clary are some of the more recent stars to have dropped in on his show.
When he's not on the radio Jason is usually a 'dad's taxi' but in quieter moments he loves reading, sleeping, having a cream tea and walking his Jack Russell.
His ambition is to do a lap of the Top Gear show's test track.
