Gloucester Cathedral was lit up at dusk on Tuesday, 23 February, 2010 to raise awareness of a charity working to eradicate polio.

The West Wing of the building had the words "End Polio Now" projected onto it at dusk as part of an international appeal by the Rotary Club to raise £200m globally.

The money will help increase immunisation programmes in developing countries, where children can still be infected and paralyzed.

BBC Points West's Jules Hyam reports.
