Brass plaques inspire Clevedon Pier play

A new play inspired by the stories behind some of the 10,000 plaques on Clevedon Pier is being performed in Bristol.

The Victorian pier collapsed in October 1970 but since then, supporters have raised funds for it to be rebuilt and maintained - by sponsoring the thousands of brass plaques.

The play, 86,400 Seconds, is being performed at the Tobacco Factory's Brewery Theatre until 27 November, 2010.
