Avon Wildlife Trust will be celebrating its 30th anniversary with a series of events during 2010.

The celebration will kick off with a Wassailing Festival at Willsbridge Mill near Bristol which will help "awaken the sleeping orchard".

The event, on Sunday, 24 January will include homemade apple refreshments and takes place between 2pm and 5pm.

Other events include a Festival of Feathers and an Easter Eggstravaganza later in the Spring.

The Festival of Feathers will see visitors to the Folly Farm Centre build nest boxes and find out more about the winged residents.

The event takes place on both Tuesday 16 and Wednesday, 17 February at various times - full details are available on the trust's website.

The Easter event, also at Folly Farm, is planned for Tuesday 6 and Wednesday, 7 April and will see visitors find out more about eggs laid at the reserve.

More details on these events can be found on the Avon Wildlife Trust website.
