Bradley Stoke's play area opens

A new £150,000 lottery-funded play area in Bradley Stoke has opened.

The Beacon Play Scheme at Jubilee Gardens in the town has been a year in consultations and planning and opened on Friday, 24 July 2009.

The play area features slides, swings, a climbing pole, balance rocks and seating areas.

Several hundred children and parents attended the opening ceremony which was officiated by Bradley Stoke's mayor, Mark Forsyth.
