Art plan for Banksy museum queue

Will the work in the queue be Banksy standards?

People queuing up for the Banksy exhibition in Bristol are being asked to be creative while they wait.

Since Banksy versus Bristol Museum opened the line to get in has stretched back down Park Row leaving people to patiently wait.

But the People's Republic of Stokes Croft has decided to hand out canvases and pens to help pass them time.

"We are going to go into the queue and let people express themselves," said Katie from the group.

"They get a flyer, they get a pen and they do their own graffiti - their own artwork.

"We are going to have a huge exhibition," she added.

Stokes Croft is the home to arguably one of Banksy's most famous pieces of work - the Mild, Mild West mural.

One of those queuing up told BBC Bristol that "queue time was wasted time" and at least this idea "got you thinking".

"Maybe it's a way of interacting with people in the queue who you don't know," she added.
